Currency exchance calculator by Starswifter Currency exchance calculator by Starswifter
Release version of the currency exchange rate calculator which I have described earlier [link]

Notable changes from then is that the UI have been finished, and that it now uses Swing instead of SWT. Personally I think SWT produces a lot prettier result, but the library is platform dependent.

The project have also been uploaded to github: [link]

Currently there are no build script for the project, but there are no special rules which needs to be applied, so compiling it should be straight forward. There are also no binaries precompiled since I have no where to place them for download.

If there are any problems, please do send me a mail with a description of what you were doing and the error message. It will then be easier for me to help you if I get both of these xD

did you know about the usage of PLAFs ? In the Swing Toolkit your are not bound to Ocean (current Swing Default Look and Feel) instead you can use the Systems Look and Feel (which is in your case Windows)

Maybe you should change your Labels for Origin Currency and Target Currency, as this would be more clear as Original ISO code and Target ISO code.

In my free time I can look over your sourcecode, not that I am a pro in coding ^^

No, I did not know about PLAFs, but I will certainly look over it. Thanks! Coding GUIs have never really been my thing, because I think the code often ends up really messy and confusing, but people respond better to that than console commands.

And yes, I am aware of that the console part is a huge pile of burning crap ... it is pretty bad currently.

If you got time and want to, I will be glad if you look over the source. Some things, like the names on some of the labels, completely makes sense to me, but it may not do that to others. Also the design of the some of classes. The current design do work with what I have right now, but I can't say if it fits whatever ideas others can come up with.

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. I will look into it tomorrow or the day after.
